Health and safety hazards:

• Limited sidewalks (unsafe to walk/bike/run)
  • Have observed bikers biking in the middle of winding roads where cars can't see them easily
• Unprepared for snow (unsafe roads)
• Recreational areas (lakes, mountains) pose hazards previously mentioned
• Most transportation is personal vehicles
  • Don't see people out walking to their destinations
• See many people smoking in their vehicles with their children in the vehicle
• Readily accessible fast food restaurants and not many affordable options when it comes to healthy eating/grocery shopping
• This area has lots of different flora and fauna which can trigger allergies and possibly aggravate other conditions such as asthma

• Many community gyms
• Many physicians, hospitals, urgent care facilities in area
• Mountains that protect from weather hazards (such as tornadoes)
• Clean air/low pollution
• Mild weather (not lots of snow usually) which keeps roads clear

• Sidewalks/biking trails
• Community education about obesity, smoking, teen pregnancy, drug use, and other public health issues
• Health food stores/restaurants that are affordable and accessible
